Description
TRIOS is a relaxing, minimalist maths puzzle game. Take your time, chill out with some numbers. Deceptively simple, surprisingly challenging. Select two numbers and one operator, then watch them combine to create a new number. Use all your numbers to reach the target.
History
TRIOS was first prototyped during Global Game Jam 2019. The design was born out of a desire to translate the joy of solving mathematical problems into a form that was both approachable and satisfying for gamers. We do not impose any failure states on the player, instead opting for an experience that freely lets them experiment play with the numbers in a puzzle. The Infinite mode features an adaptive puzzle generator that matches the challenge with their current level of skill, helping to guide players into a state of flow. With the laid-back and gentle guidance, the number puzzles in TRIOS can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels.
Features
- Journey mode: A series of puzzles with escalating difficulty
- Infinite mode: Randomly generated puzzles that adapt difficulty to your pace
- A selection of chill tunes and beautiful backgrounds to guide you into flow
